Stacy Brady is Executive Vice President & General Manager of News Field & Production Operations for NBCUniversal, where she oversees 30 Rock news production, bureau, field, and satellite operations. Part of NBCUniversal’s Operations and Technical Services (O&TS) organization, Brady’s team includes the expansive editing organization at 30 Rock, as well as the media management and archival departments for NBC News. Brady also oversees an international team of engineers who provide day-to-day technical support and live-remote origination for NBC News worldwide. Aligned closely with NBC News production and post-production teams, Brady’s organization creates an end-to-end workflow. Brady’s team works to build scale for production, field and satellite operations across NBCUniversal brands. Her staff also provides telephone/data service, video/audio connectivity, and live remote origination for both NBC News and NBC family members such as CNBC, Telemundo, Access Hollywood, NBC Sports, The Weather Channel, NBC Entertainment, and Peacock Productions, as well as for non-NBC customers.
Prior to her current role, Brady served as Senior Vice President, News Field Operations since 2007. In this role, she worked to expand client services beyond news.
Brady continues to have the vision in pushing and expediting new technology in order to enhance production while fully supporting News in all its forms. Covering major global events such as Presidential elections, Olympics, and the Royal Wedding, her team won the 2011 Emmy Award for Technology honoring the Bloommobile, an NBC News standard and industry advantage. Her team also received the Edward R Murrow award for coverage of the first pull-out of troops from Iraq. Brady started her career at NBC in the News division in 1978, and subsequently spent 15 years as a technical manager traveling from event to event across the globe.
Brady presently resides in Long Island with her husband and two sons.
