Cindy Gardner

Cindy Gardner is Executive Vice President of Global Communications for Universal Filmed Entertainment Group (UFEG) and Corporate Affairs for NBCUniversal. She oversees worldwide external and internal communications for UFEG as well as NBCUniversal initiatives, including community relations, corporate social responsibility programs and strategic communications for the Studio Lot.

In this role, Gardner is responsible for UFEG’s media relations, executive and employee communications. She also leads NBCUniversal’s west coast based corporate media relations, crisis communications and issues management, philanthropy, cross company initiatives and special events..  Gardner works closely with the senior management and publicity teams in film, theme park and studios operations to support their business initiatives.

Previously, Gardner served as Senior Vice President of Corporate Affairs for Universal Studios for 11 years beginning in 2005. Gardner joined Universal in 1995 and held various communications roles including Vice President, Corporate Affairs; Director of Corporate Communications and Special Projects; and public relations associate.

Prior to Universal, Gardner served as account manager for Rosen & Company where she managed a diverse roster of public relations accounts. She began her career as a marketing associate and account manager for National Computer Systems in Mesa, Arizona.

She has served on the board of the Universal City North Hollywood Chamber and as Treasurer of the Hollywood Hills West Neighborhood Council representing Universal Studios. She is also a board member of Universal Studios Hollywood’s Discover a Star Foundation.

Gardner graduated from Arizona State University with a B.A. in business management.
